The Portal is often used by members to try to find more people for existing campaigns that they have created, but it can also be used to create campaigns from scratch. Campaign Administrators (CAs), also known as Dungeon Masters / Game Masters / Storytellers, are encouraged to use the forums as a place to gather members together and write event summaries. However, CAs have also been known to use roll20 Campaign forums and Epic Words Pages. roll20.net is currently the preferred in browser virtual table simulator used by the portal.

The Portal Leadership, and other members, are also more than willing to share resources and knowledge about various systems and virtual table interfaces. For example, giving advice on how to DM. Some members are even willing to give personal tutor sessions about how to use sites like roll20 and will spectate a game in order to give you help and feedback if requested.
